(This seems to contrast the ways of the West) On the other hand there are also private schools that require these tests. A motorbike taxi is roughly 50 baht and can be the fastest way to travel if you live in a big city.

Tuk Tuk is also a popular way to travel around.  Their price will up to where is your area and how long is your trip. It can be approximately 50-200 baht.

Songtaews go through common main roads and can cost as little as 10 TBH per ride. There are only in some area of Thailand.

Vans is often the cheapest transport for medium length trips from anything from 20 baht for a half hour trip to 150 TBH for a couple-hour trip. For longer trips, buses across the country or Train will be better choices.
