Do I need to have a college degree to get a teaching position Thailand?

Many schools will accept non degree holders, but you should at least have finished high school or have a diploma.

Can I apply with a friend and be placed together?

You may apply with a friend, the sooner you apply, the better your chances of getting placed together will be.

Where will I be placed?

You can name your preferred location and we will try to get you as near to there as possible.

Is my accommodation provided and paid for?

No. We can assist in finding you accommodation, but paying for it is your own responsibility

Do I always teach the same class?

Depending on your school, but most of the time you will have more than one class to teach.

How big are the classes?

Government schools can have 30-40 students in a class and private schools will normally have fewer students in a class as they can afford more teachers.

What do I need to wear to work?

Formal clothes. Some schools will only allow girls to wear skirts (below the knee), less strict schools will be okay with pants. Closed shoes and your shoulders should be covered. Men need to wear long pants, closed shoes and long/ short sleeved shirts, not many schools require you to wear ties.

How will I get paid?

You will get paid either by cash, via your bank account or by your school. Payments will be maid anytime between the 28th of the end of the month to the 2nd of the new month.

How much money should I bring?

You will need to be able to take care of yourself until you get your first salary. Accommodation can cost anything from 3500 Baht up, depending on what you are looking for. A meal can cost you 40 baht up depending where you eat, if you eat local, you eat cheap, if you eat international, expect to pay up to 4 times that price per meal. Transport differs as well, you can hire a scooter for 2500 baht per month or use public transport. Using this guideline, you should be able to work out a budget.

Will I have access to the internet?

You can buy a sim card and load internet or you can have wifi at your apartment.
